KUALA LUMPUR, June 4 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today visited the Malaysian Cryptology Technology and Management Centre (PTPKM) and witnessed the establishment of the Cyber Security Cryptology Development Centre (CSCDC).
He also witnessed the appointment of Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar as chairman of the CSCDC board of directors.
“The highlight of the visit is the Post-Quantum Cryptography initiative spearheaded by PTPKM’s young talents through the PQC Sandbox programme as part of efforts to enhance the country’s cyber security and cryptology capabilities,” he said in a Facebook post.
The Prime Minister also called on younger generations to continue mastering strategic technologies to ensure Malaysia’s cyber security and digital sovereignty remain safeguarded.
PTPKM is the country’s principal entity responsible for researching, developing and managing cyber security and cryptographic systems.
