LPPKN, Monsta Team Up To Acknowledge Role of Fathers

KUALA LUMPUR, June 24 (Bernama) -- The National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN) has collaborated with local animation company MONSTA in conjunction with Father’s Day 2026 to acknowledge the important role of fathers in the family institution.

In a statement today, LPPKN said the collaboration leverages the popularity of the animated character Papa Zola to convey family messages through a creative approach that is relatable and easily received by all age groups.

The initiative is in line with the objectives of the National Father’s Day celebration in strengthening the family institution and raising awareness on the importance of close family relationships.

MONSTA Media director Faiz Zainal Abidin said Papa Zola is not just an animated character, but represents a father who constantly strives for his family.

“Although often portrayed in a humorous and light-hearted manner, the values of love and family responsibility it carries are very close to everyday life.

“We hope this collaboration with LPPKN will deliver positive messages to more families in conjunction with Father’s Day,” he said in the same statement.

The National-level Father’s Day Celebration 2026 will be held on June 28 at Taman Tasik Cyberjaya, Selangor, with the theme #SehebatKasihBapa, featuring various activities including ‘Treasure Hunt: Misi Bapa Hebat’, a meet-and-greet session with Papa Zola mascots, and the ‘Papa & Kids Challenge’.

As part of the collaboration, Papa Zola The Movie will also be screened in selected cinemas nationwide from June 11 to 30, giving families a chance to spend time together while appreciating values of courage, responsibility and a father’s love.
