29/06/2026 08:36 PM

JOHOR BAHRU, June 29 (Bernama) -- The MADANI Government will continue to be committed to ensuring that every state, including Johor, enjoys sustainable, inclusive development that benefits all citizens, said Pakatan Harapan (PH) secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.

He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the government prioritises investment in infrastructure, public transportation, health, and flood mitigation to improve the quality of life for the people.

Saifuddin Nasution, who is also the Home Minister, said that Johor is now on a solid path to continue developing through the implementation of various high-impact initiatives and projects.

He said that among the main projects being implemented are the Gemas-Johor Bahru Electrified Double Tracking Project, the Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link, the third lane widening of the PLUS Highway, the Johor flood mitigation project, the Sungai Kim Kim Sewage Treatment Plant and the Pasir Gudang Hospital.

"The MADANI Government's commitment to Johor's development is further strengthened through the approval of several new large-scale projects, including the Elevated Autonomous Rapid Transit (E-ART), Sultanah Aminah Hospital 2, and USIM Hospital in Sedili," he said in a Facebook post today.

He also said that development is not merely measured by investment value or numbers alone, but is instead translated through the benefits enjoyed by the people.

"Among them are job opportunities, a more efficient transportation system, access to better healthcare services and improved quality of life," he added.
