KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 (Bernama) -- His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, has expressed pride over the historic achievement of Tunku Panglima Johor Tunku Abdul Rahman Sultan Ibrahim and Tunku Putera Johor Tunku Abu Bakar Sultan Ibrahim after Johor Motorsports Racing (JMR) emerged as the Pro-Am category champions in the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps endurance race in Belgium on Sunday.
His Majesty said the success was achieved through the duo's partnership with teammates Ben Greene and Jordan Love in the world's largest GT3 endurance race.
"It is also the first time a Malaysian team has achieved such a feat," His Majesty said in a Facebook post today.
The victory made history as it marked the first triumph by a Malaysian team in the Pro-Am category of the world's biggest GT3 race and came during JMR's third appearance in the prestigious event.
