KUALA LUMPUR, May 6 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today, reflecting the performance of the underlying cash market.
At the close, spot month for May 2024, September 2024 and December 2024 each gained 5.0 points to 1,599.0, 1,588.0, and 1,592.5, respectively, while June 2024 advanced 4.5 points to 1,599.5.
Turnover rose to 7,553 lots from 7,543 lots on Friday, with open interest improving to 51,291 contracts compared to 50,900 contracts previously.
By 5 pm, the FBM KLCI rose 0.49 per cent, or 7.80 points, to 1,597.39, up from Friday’s close of 1,589.59.
