KUALA LUMPUR, May 8 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower today, tracking the underlying cash market performance.
At the close, spot month for May 2024 and June 2024 fell 3.5 points to 1,606.0 and 1,606.5, respectively, while September 2024 and December 2024 each lost 4.0 points to 1,595.0 and 1,599.5, respectively.
Turnover improved to 8,935 lots from 7,019 lots yesterday, while open interest widened to 54,066 contracts against 51,302 contracts previously.
At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI fell 0.06 per cent or 0.93 of-a-point to 1,604.75 compared to Tuesday’s close of 1,605.68.
