KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 (Bernama) -- The gold futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher today, tracking the COMEX gold futures.
At the close, the spot month June 2024 contract rose to US$2,322.9 per troy ounce from US$2,321.1 per troy ounce yesterday, while July 2024 increased to US$2,329.7 per troy ounce from US$2,327.9 per troy ounce previously.
August 2024, September 2024, October 2024 and December 2024 all settled higher at US$2,344.9 per troy ounce compared with US$2,343.1 per troy ounce yesterday.
Volume dropped to eight lots from 18 lots on Wednesday , while open interest fell to 26 contracts from 33 contracts previously.
The price of physical gold stood at US$2,326.25 per troy ounce, according to the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on June 12.
