KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed mostly higher today despite the lower performance in the underlying cash market.
The spot months of June 2024 and September 2024 increased by 2.5 points each to 1,592.00 and 1,583.50 respectively.
July 2024 slipped by 2.5 points to 1,597.50, while December 2024 added 3.0 points to 1,591.00.
Turnover surged to 12,328 lots from 6,743 lots on Thursday, while open interest increased to 55,901 contracts from 48,985 contracts the previous day.
At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI declined by 2.32 points to 1,590.37 from 1,592.69 at Thursday’s close.
