KUALA LUMPUR, July 16 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today, tracking the performance of the underlying cash market.
The spot month July 2024 and December 2024 contracts fell 4.5 points to 1,629.5 and 1,623.5, respectively; August 2024 eased 5.5 points to 1,632.0, and September 2024 went down 5.0 points to 1,616.0.
Turnover dwindled to 8,414 lots from 14,144 on Monday, while open interest decreased to 53,130 contracts from 54,423 contracts yesterday.
At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI eased 3.86 points per cent, to 1,625.96 from Monday’s close of 1,629.82.
