KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 2 (Bernama) -- The gold futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher in line with COMEX gold prices.
At the close, spot month August 2024, September 2024, October 2024, November 2024, December 2024, and February 2025 rose to US$2,474.50 per troy ounce from US$2,465.10 per troy ounce yesterday.
Volume soared to 69 lots from seven lots on Thursday, while open interest jumped to 77 contracts from 17 contracts previously.
The price of physical gold stood at US$2,454.55 per troy ounce, according to the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on Aug 1.
