Gold Futures End Lower On Firmer Greenback

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 10 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower on Wednesday, weighed down by a stronger US dollar.

At the close, the September 2025 contract fell to US$3,654.90 per troy ounce from US$3,664.50 at Tuesday’s close.

The October 2025 contract slipped to US$3,670.80 per troy ounce from US$3,677.50, while November 2025 eased to US$3,687.60 from US$3,694.30.

Meanwhile, the December 2025, February 2026, April 2026 and June 2026 contracts all settled lower at US$3,709.50 per troy ounce versus US$3,716.20 previously.

Trading volume dipped to 216 lots from 441 lots yesterday, while open interest narrowed to 274 contracts from 505 contracts previously.

Physical gold stood at US$3,649.55 per troy ounce based on the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on Sept 9, 2025.
