KUALA LUMPUR, May 11 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower, tracking losses on the US COMEX.
At the close, the spot-month May 2026 contract fell to US$4,681.50 per troy ounce from US$4,743.70 last Friday, and the June 2026 contract eased to US$4,696.90 per troy ounce from US$4,757.70.
The July, August and October 2026 contracts also settled lower at US$4,711.90 per troy ounce compared with US$4,772.70 previously.
Trading volume slid to seven lots from 11 lots last week, while open interest edged up to 69 contracts from 68 contracts previously.
Physical gold was fixed at US$4,741.40 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association afternoon fix on May 8, 2026.
