KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 13 (Bernama) -- To date, more than 2,000 people have been detained under the Security Offenses (Special Measures) Act 2012 (SOSMA), 475 under the Prevention of Crime (Amendment) Act 2015 (POCA) and nine under Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA).
Home Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin told Parliament that the government is reviewing the Acts to remove elements of oppression.
"Research by a special committee has reached its final stage and will be presented to Parliament soon," Muhyiddin said.
