GM Klang confident of receiving more visitors when interstate travel is allowed

KLANG, Oct 1  -- GM Klang, Malaysia’s largest wholesale centre, is confident of better business performance with more visitors coming to shop there on the expectation that interstate travel would soon be allowed by the government. 

GM Klang managing director Datuk Lim Seng Kok said he has remained positive on the potential of the centre due to the gradual recovery in business, despite the cautious buying by purchasers, especially wholesalers.

“I hope we will receive more customers in mid-October in line with the announcement of the expected resumption of interstate travel by mid-October.

 “This is because most of our customers are from outside  Klang Valley and also due to the improving economic situation in the country," he said at a press conference after GM Klang's 12th-anniversary celebration here today.

He believes that the Malaysian economy would recover and improve more next year.

In conjunction with the 12th anniversary of the wholesale centre, Lim said various programmes and lucky draws were held to celebrate customers who have remained loyal and given support to GM Klang.

"We have implemented Road To Bonanza-12 from June to December with two winners each month that will be selected to receive a tourism package in Selangor worth RM2,000 and also the main prize in the form of a motorcycle," he said.
