KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 20 (Bernama) -- The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) have announced that national men’s doubles coach Tan Bin Shen will leave the association on Jan 13.
BAM, in a statement today, expressed their deepest gratitude to Bin Shen for his dedication and contributions to Malaysian badminton, particularly in playing a part in the achievements of former world champion and two-time Olympic bronze medallists Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik.
“It has been a fulfilling journey working with the men’s doubles team. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together and I look forward to new challenges ahead,” said Bin Shen, who joined BAM as a men’s doubles coach in 2020 and has played a pivotal role in the team’s development.
Meanwhile, BAM secretary-general Datuk Kenny Goh said Bin Shen had contributed significantly to Malaysian badminton and his commitment to nurturing talent and champions had been invaluable.
“We are deeply grateful for his hard work and dedication,” said Kenny.
BAM wished Bin Shen continued success as he embarks on a new chapter in his career and said they will announce the new head coach for men’s doubles in due course.
