NIBONG TEBAL, July 14 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to meet Pakatan Harapan (PH) MPs today, following a similar engagement with Barisan Nasional (BN) lawmakers last Friday.
Nibong Tebal MP Fadhlina Sidek confirmed the matter, saying the briefing is scheduled to take place at the Prime Minister’s official residence, Seri Perdana, in Putrajaya at 4.30 pm.
Fadhlina, who is also Education Minister, said the purpose of the meeting is to explain current issues and share updates on government policies.
“This is an initial step to strengthen the government bloc’s preparedness ahead of the upcoming Dewan Rakyat sitting,” she told reporters after visiting Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Taman Widuri here today.
On July 11, Anwar, who is also PH chairman, held a meeting with BN MPs to clarify several current issues, including matters related to taxation and the judiciary, as well as rumours surrounding RON95 petrol subsidies.
According to the Parliament calendar, the Dewan Rakyat is scheduled to sit for 24 days, from July 21 to Aug 28.
