KUALA LUMPUR, July 18 (Bernama) -- Singer 2025, the flagship music competition produced by Hunan TV’s Mango TV, is capturing international attention as a cross-cultural stage that blends East and West through music.
Backed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and supported by over 15 global institutions—including China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Brazilian and Malaysian embassies in Beijing, and Tourism Malaysia—the show is being recognised as a new platform for international cultural dialogue, according to a statement.
Now featuring eight international performers, the spotlight intensified with the appearances of Malaysian powerhouse Jess Lee and Brazilian singer Alexia Evellyn. Their electrifying performances ignited a wave of media coverage and fan frenzy across Asia and Latin America.
“Music knows no borders and brings us closer, conveying what words cannot,” said Brazil’s Ambassador to China, Marcos Galvão.
Meanwhile, Tourism Malaysia Deputy Director-General, Lee Thai Hung echoed the sentiment, calling Jess Lee’s participation a bridge between Malaysia and China.
Social media lit up. “Jess Lee’s performance gave us chills,” one fan posted. Performing the song Diva in Episode 8, viewers widely hailed her as the true embodiment of the song’s title.
After a hiatus from the spotlight, Jess Lee’s return was not just a vocal triumph—it was a personal victory. Her powerful rendition was widely hailed as the emotional high point of the season.
Beyond talent and competition, Singer 2025 is proving that harmony is not just a musical term—it is a global ideal. As the season progresses, the show promises even more unforgettable performances worldwide—uniting audiences across continents through music.
