SK Baharu Lanjut Receives RM100,000 Under MADANI Adopted School Programme

PUTRAJAYA, July 18 (Bernama) -- Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Baharu Lanjut in Sepang has received RM100,000 from Akademi Kenegaraan Malaysia (AKM) under the MADANI Adopted School  programme, part of a government initiative to strengthen the national education ecosystem.

According to AKM, the funds will support the purchase of digital learning tools, refurbishment of school facilities, and implementation of student development programmes.

The brief handover ceremony was officiated by AKM director-general Datuk Dr Roslan Hussin, and attended by teachers, parents, and students.

Roslan said the initiative is not just financial assistance but a strategic investment in the nation’s future.

“This is a public trust to create a more conducive learning environment. This school was selected because of its strong potential to produce outstanding students guided by MADANI values,” he said.

SK Baharu Lanjut is among the pilot schools under the programme, with AKM coordinating upgrades to infrastructure, academic support, teacher training, student welfare, and the integration of Malaysia MADANI values.

Headmaster Herman Mahamad Gapar thanked AKM for its commitment, saying the contribution boosts both student outcomes and teacher motivation

“This support means a lot to us and encourages us to continue delivering quality education,” he said.

Led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, and coordinated by the Finance and Education Ministries, the MADANI Adopted School programme aims to link capable organisations with under-resourced schools, especially in rural and semi-urban areas.

Over 1,000 schools are expected to benefit by year-end.
