PUTRAJAYA, July 25 (Bernama) -- Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching today joined national tower running champion Soh Wai Ching in a Tower Run Clinic, climbing 828 steps from the Communications Ministry lobby here to the minister’s office on Level 37.
Teo completed the climb in nine minutes and 26 seconds.
The programme, which began at 8 am, also saw the participation of the ministry’s senior division secretary (Management) Mazlan Abd Mutalib and 50 ministry staff who took up the challenge of engaging in a healthy activity.
Teo encouraged Malaysians to take inspiration from Soh and embrace healthy lifestyles for better well-being.
She also congratulated Soh, a former world number one in tower running, and expressed hope that he will continue to make Malaysia proud on the international stage.
Meanwhile, Soh expressed his appreciation to Teo for taking the time to join the programme.
“I would like to congratulate Teo for successfully climbing 828 steps in under 10 minutes. She was fast and energetic,” he said.
