Another Rider In Motorcycle Convoy Crash Dies

SEREMBAN, July 25 (Bernama) --  Another victim involved in the 17-vehicle crash on the North-South Expressway near here yesterday has died, bringing the total number of fatalities to four.

Seremban district police chief ACP Mohammad Hatta Che Din said the 19-year-old male victim died at 12.30 am today at Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital (HTJS) here.

“Yes, the victim passed away while receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of HTJS. The cause of death was severe traumatic brain injury,” he told Bernama today.

Three motorcyclists were killed on the spot and 12 injured in the accident involving 15 motorcycles, a car and a lorry at KM262.5 northbound of the PLUS highway at about 2.30 am.

Police said the motorcyclists were travelling in a convoy from Senawang towards Kuala Lumpur on the middle and right lanes of the highway.
