KUALA LUMPUR, July 27 (Bernama) -- Young national bowler Qurratu’Ain Izdihar Mohd Pozi created a sensation by edging out China's Li Yiru by just one pin to clinch the gold medal in the women’s individual event at the 24th Asian Junior Tenpin Bowling Championships in Doha, Qatar, today.
The athlete showcased exceptional composure across six games, finishing with a total of 1,239 pins, surpassing Li, who recorded 1,238 pins.
The bronze medal went to Taiwan’s Ho Yi Qing, who knocked down 1,205 pins.
Two other national representatives, Adelia Nur Syazalee (1,197) and Balqis Nurdhini Khairul (1,190), finished in fourth and fifth places, respectively.
