KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 6 (Bernama) -- The retail price of RON97 petrol will remain at RM3.17 per litre for the period of Aug 7 to Aug 13.
The Ministry of Finance (MOF), in a statement today, announced that for the same period, the retail price of RON95 petrol will also remain at RM2.05 per litre.
The retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will increase by three sen per litre, from RM2.91 to RM2.94, while the retail price of diesel in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan will remain at RM2.15 per litre.
According to MOF, the retail prices are determined weekly based on the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula.
"The government will continue to monitor the impact of global crude oil price changes and take appropriate measures to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people are protected," the statement said.
