Turtles Not Taking Lightly Newcomers Imigresen FC

KUALA NERUS, Aug 16 (Bernama) -- Terengganu FC (TFC) head coach Badrul Afzan Razali is  not taking lightly the challenge posed by newcomers Imigresen FC ahead of their first-leg FA Cup round of 16 clash at the Batu Kawan Stadium in Penang tomorrow evening.

The former midfielder said their opponents will surely capitalise on the home-ground advantage to score as many goals as possible to carry into the return leg.

As such, Badrul Afzan reminded the Turtles to remain focused and avoid simple mistakes that could see them punished by conceding goals.

“Playing away from home in the first-leg match definitely gives the advantage to the opponents, but we have prepared thoroughly. The players must stay focused and disciplined to ensure the game goes according to plan.

“I admit the players are still fatigued due to the packed fixture schedule, but that is not an excuse since all teams are facing the same situation,” he said when contacted today.

Meanwhile, French-born import striker Yan Mabella said he is determined to score as many goals as possible to secure the Turtles’ place in the FA Cup quarterfinals.

According to him, the strong support shown by fans during the match against PDRM last Wednesday has fired up his spirit to continue giving his best performance.

“We have three games in one week so we need to get ready, get a good recovery and then fight with all strength to win.

“Fans very supportive and show me love from the first day... I really appreciate it and try to give my best to win. No stress but it is good to give our best to fans and club,” he said.
