SEREMBAN, Sept 19 (Bernama) -- Hotel bookings in Negeri Sembilan, especially in Port Dickson, have exceeded 90 per cent during the school holidays, according to the chairman of the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH), Negeri Sembilan Chapter, Haziz Hassan.
He said the positive trend in tourism, observed from last Saturday through tomorrow, shows that Negeri Sembilan is becoming a popular holiday destination.
“Almost all rooms in MAH-registered hotels have been fully booked, not including homestays around Jempol and Kuala Pilah,” he told Bernama today.
Meanwhile, Haziz said that efforts to boost the tourism sector should continue through collaboration between the state government, industry players, and local communities, ensuring tourists have a high-quality holiday experience.
He said attractions like Port Dickson’s beaches boost tourist arrivals to the state, as well as the unique Perpatih customs, homestays, and the continuous promotion of tourism offerings.
Meanwhile, Haziz said that ahead of Visit Negeri Sembilan Year (TMNS) 2026, the state’s hotel industry plans to offer special rates, especially in Port Dickson, for guests who book early.
