Bernama Wins Audio & Digital Media Excellence Award At AKPK Collaborators’ Awards

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 5 (Bernama)-- The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) clinched the Audio and Digital Media Excellence Award at the Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency (AKPK) Collaborators’ Awards 2023/2024 event, held at Sasana Kijang, Bank Negara Malaysia, here today.

The award was presented by AKPK chief executive officer Azaddin Ngah Tasir to Bernama’s Head of TV and Radio Broadcasting, Mohd Shukri Ishak, in recognition of the agency’s unwavering commitment to providing a platform for AKPK to engage with the public since 2023.

Communications Ministry also received the Distinguished Amplifier Award for its strategic collaboration and full support in delivering AKPK’s public service announcements (PSAs) via mainstream television channels, thereby strengthening financial management awareness and contributing to AKPK’s overall success.

In his speech, Azaddin highlighted the significance of the awards, which saw 32 accolades conferred on 103 organisations, including the Key Partnership Impact Award, in line with the theme ‘Growing with a Purpose’.

“To all our collaborators, you are not just part of AKPK’s journey, but you are at the heart of it. Your contributions, regardless of size, create ripples that reach every corner of our nation. As we move forward, let us remember that our work is not just about helping individuals manage debt or make better financial decisions,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mohd Shukri said the award was a testament to Bernama’s dedication and commitment as a vital platform for disseminating information on credit counselling and debt management through its collaboration with AKPK.
