MOE Has Best SOP To Manage Exams And Ensure No Paper Leaks - Education DG

JOHOR BAHRU, Jan 13 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Education (MOE) maintains the best standard operating procedure (SOP) for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination, thus refuting the recent claims of a leak in the History subject papers.

Education director-general Azman Adnan said that the MOE was committed to ensuring that the SOP was adhered to by all parties involved throughout the examination.

“The investigation carried out by the MOE found no leak of the SPM 2024 History examination papers. When we talk about a leak, it means the entire examination paper has been exposed.

“The current SOP in place is at its best level and we will ensure that it continues to be followed,” he told a press conference after the mock cheque presentation ceremony for the one-off Early Schooling Aid (BAP) at Dewan Seminar of the Johor State Education Department here today.

Last Thursday, the MOE, through a statement, refuted the claim of a leak in the SPM 2024 History examination papers, clarifying that the screenshot shared only contained a list of titles in the History textbook that were used as predictions.

On the flood situation in Johor, Azman said that seven SPM candidates affected by the disaster managed to sit for the Additional Mathematics papers today.

“The District Education Office has implemented an intervention programme to ensure that all candidates can attend school,” he said, adding that no alternative examination centres have been activated so far.

As of 11 am today, Johor recorded a total of 3,776 flood evacuees placed in 37 relief centres across Kota Tinggi, Johor Bahru, Kulai, Pontian, and Kluang.
