KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 23 (Bernama) -- Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo is hopeful that his productive discussion with healthcare data and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions company, Yidu Tech Inc., will lead to a valuable partnership that can transform Malaysia’s healthcare and medical infrastructure.
The minister met Yidu Tech’s chairlady and founder, Gong Ying Ying, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2025 in Davos, Switzerland, which ends tomorrow.
Gobind was part of Malaysia's delegation to the annual high-level forum, led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
"Building on the comprehensive Country Strategy Dialogue presented by the prime minister at the WEF in Davos, we engaged in an in-depth conversation about leveraging advanced data analytics to develop innovative digital and AI solutions.
"These cutting-edge technologies would serve multiple crucial objectives: significantly reducing the daily workload burden on healthcare professionals, enhancing the quality and effectiveness of patient care delivery, and ultimately achieving substantial reductions in overall healthcare system costs," the minister said in a post on X today.
Yidu Tech primarily operates in three business segments: big data platform and solutions, life sciences solutions, and health management platform and solutions.
The company, founded in 2014, is listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
