D’Tandoor, MAHAR Unveil Partnership To Provide Humanitarian Aid To Gaza

PUTRAJAYA, March 6 (Bernama) -- D’Tandoor International group of restaurants (D'Tandoor) and Malaysian Humanitarian Aid and Relief (MAHAR) today unveiled a long-term partnership dedicated to humanitarian efforts, particularly in supporting Gaza through the Gaza Humanitarian Fund.

The collaboration aims to alleviate the suffering of the people of Gaza by providing food aid, medicine, and essential supplies.

D’Tandoor Group Chairman Datuk Seri Abdul Malik Abdullah said the initiative had set a RM1 million fundraising target to address urgent needs in Gaza, in addition to the Dapur Ihsan collaboration, which had been providing food aid to the people there.

“As part of this initiative, the food aid will use retort technology, which offers great advantages in logistics and distribution.

“This technology allows ready-to-eat food to last for two years at room temperature without preservatives, ensuring that the delivered food remains fresh and nutritious,” he said in his speech at the breaking of fast programme organised by D’Tandoor, MAHAR, and Yayasan Kaseh Kanser & Kronik (YKKK) here today.

More than 170 individuals, including chronic and cancer patients, were feted at the event, which was also attended by MAHAR advisor Nurul Izzah Anwar.

Meanwhile, Nurul Izzah said that initiatives like the Gaza Humanitarian Fund and the Dapur Ihsan Programme demonstrated a strong commitment to alleviating the suffering of those in need, both locally and abroad.

“The donation target to assist the people of Gaza is a noble effort, reflecting the generosity of our society in supporting fellow human beings,” she said.
