SHAH ALAM, Aug 4 (Bernama) -- The Selangor government has launched the Selangor State Governance and Service Delivery Reform Framework (RSTU), a key platform for implementing state government policies and aligning them with federal policies.
Selangor State Secretary Datuk Dr Ahmad Fadzli Ahmad Tajuddin said RSTU was introduced as an enabler for policy implementation through a reformed service delivery system that is more efficient, transparent and high-impact.
Ahmad Fadzli said RSTU is part of Selangor’s response to the Public Service Reform Agenda and reflects the state administration’s commitment to change and progress together with the people towards a brighter future.
“Selangor must not be a developed state only in terms of numbers. We must be advanced in terms of systems, work culture and integrity. RSTU is a collective platform to make our government machinery more prepared, agile and trusted by the people,” he said at the launch of RSTU and Civil Service Assembly with the Selangor Menteri Besar here today.
Earlier, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari launched RSTU.
Ahmad Fadzli added that RSTU will be driven based on eight strategic focus areas: governance and integrity, service delivery reform, complaints reform, breaking down silos, resilient human capital, grassroots empowerment, programme measurement and monitoring, and outcome-based evaluation.
He said the reform effort will be led by Deputy State Secretary (Management) Datuk Yazid Sairi, who will serve as Selangor’s Chief Reform Officer.
At the same event, Amirudin also launched the Fly the Jalur Gemilang campaign to symbolise the patriotism and commitment of Selangor’s civil servants in conjunction with the National Month, carried out in the spirit of reform and Malaysia MADANI.
The ceremony also witnessed the handing over of Jalur Gemilang flags to nine district and land offices and 12 local authorities in Selangor.
