KOTA BHARU, Aug 4 (Bernama) -- Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud has urged preachers in the state to better understand the realities of modern society, to effectively address current issues, and combat negative influences which threaten the faith and identity of Muslims.
He said that this need is increasingly urgent, in light of rapid technological advancement, and widespread access to information across all segments of society.
“Information today spreads at lightning speed. New issues arise daily, and each must be thoroughly understood, especially those involving misleading ideologies, aimed at eroding the identity and faith of Muslims,” he said, in his speech at the presentation ceremony of the Third Series of the Tafaqquh Fiddin Certificate, here, today.
Mohd Nassuruddin also expressed hope that the state’s Dakwah Halaqat Division would be mobilised in a more structured and systematic manner, to effectively guide and protect the ummah.
“I was informed that the learning syllabus for this tafaqquh class was designed with society's current needs in mind. It not only emphasises foundational subjects such as the Quran, hadith, aqidah (creed), fiqh, and ethics, but also integrates contemporary knowledge and effective teaching methods,” he said.
Earlier, a total of 68 participants, comprising halaqat officers and assistants, successfully completed the Third Series of the Tafaqquh Fiddin class, held from July 2024 to March 2025.
