KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 11 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has taken proactive steps by directing service providers to ensure seamless telecommunication services during the Thaipusam celebration at Batu Caves, Selangor.

Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching said that to ensure the Thaipusam celebration at Batu Caves proceeds smoothly without any network issues, MCMC and major service providers have conducted a comprehensive network assessment in the area since Feb 5.

“With over 1.8 million visitors, including foreign tourists, expected at Batu Caves for this year’s Thaipusam, stable connectivity is crucial.

“This will enable everyone to stay connected, whether to communicate with family, share experiences or access important information throughout the event,” she said in a Facebook post today.
