No Change In Flood Situation In Sabah, Sarawak This Morning

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 14 (Bernama) -- The flood situation in Sabah and Sarawak remains unchanged this morning, with 309 people still taking shelter at three relief centres in both states.

In SABAH, the State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat reported that the number of flood victims in Kinabatangan stands at 107 from 29 families, the same as recorded at 8 pm yesterday.

“Only one centre is operational in Kinabatangan, and the evacuation trend remains stable this morning,” it said.

In SARAWAK, 202 people are still housed at two relief centres in the Miri division, the only area still affected by the floods.

According to its State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat, as of 8 am, Dewan Masyarakat Beluru continues to accommodate 137 evacuees, while Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bakong Beluru houses another 65.
