KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 17 -- Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) is extending its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative through MyCSR ‘A Second Chance’ programme at the ReGen Rehab Hospital today.
The programme, officiated by MyCEB marketing and communications director Mohammad Isa Abdul Halim, witnessed the presentation of five wheelchairs and five commode chairs to patients under the hospital’s existing CSR ‘Wish Upon a Star’ programme.
“The wheelchairs and commode chairs will enhance the patients’ mobility and this donation is an example of how the bureau can give back to the community,” he told Bernama.
Also present were Regen Rehabilitation International Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Sue Lee Tsui Ling and representatives of MyCEB’s strategic partners.
To date, MyCEB has carried out a total of 28 MyCSR programmes, include the planting of 2,040 trees at the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) in Kepong via its Let’s Meet and Green programme, Unwind with a Cause, Biji – Biji and Soup Kitchen initiatives, all aimed at helping those in need.
MyCEB, established by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), aims to further strengthening Malaysia’s business tourism brand and position for the international business events market, and at the same time, committed to contribute towards sustainable developments as well as to reach out to communities beyond meetings and events.
