BookDoc enhances digital technologies in healthcare delivery solutions

KUALA LUMPUR April 11 -- An online health teach company, BookDoc has stepped up its efforts to work with the Ministry of Health (MOH) to fight the COVID-19 pandemic by enhancing five digital technologies in healthcare delivery solutions.

In a statement issued today, BookDoc said the five digital technologies were free virtual health advisory, uberisation of ordering Covid-19 lab tests in the safety and comfort of their home or office, and  access to the latest  Covid-19 updates and news.

“Besides that, there is Webinar, an exclusive  live  web-based question session with medical experts from MOH and the public health sector, and as a technology enabler for Online Appointment  System  where the public  can choose an appointment slot to go to MOH health clinics to get health services,” the statement said.

While many companies, especially startup, face the existential question of whether they will make it through the crisis, I am heartened by BookDoc’s efforts, and stepped forward in various ways to do its’ part, to reach every individual who is in need of timely health support, without discrimination, economic or social condition to ensure no one is left behind in the face of this pandemic crisis.” said Yang Berhormat Khairy Jamaluddin, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation.

In line with Malaysia’s efforts towards Industry 4.0, BookDoc founder Datuk Chevy Beh said the company’s immediate concern was to help Malaysians build resilience while staying home.
