KUALA LUMPUR, July 3 -- Southeast Asia’s leading carrier-neutral data centre services provider AIMS Group (AIMS) has started the construction of a new Tier III purpose-built data centre facility in Cyberjaya named AIMS@Cyberjaya.
Chief executive officer Chiew Kok Hin said the facility would serve as AIMS’ flagship data centre, in addition to Menara AIMS in the capital, and enhanced the already symbiotic ecosystem that AIMS is known for.
“The new facility will open up Malaysia to more connections and the prospect of establishing itself as a regional data centre hub, given its strategic location in Southeast Asia with domestic and international connectivity, ease of access and relatively lower cost of entry,” he said in a statement today.
He said the AIMS ecosystem would be a dynamic one, enabling businesses to set up their IT infrastructure within the country with more ease and reducing reliance on third parties located outside of Malaysia.
“Businesses can also leverage AIMS’ network to expand in the ASEAN region,” he added.
Offering a range of interconnection options that allows businesses to set up secure connections on-demand, AIMS@Cyberjaya is able to cater to hyper-scalers and enterprises with high processing and the most stringent security requirements.
