Lee Tuck aims for better glory with Pahang

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 1 -- Former Terengganu FC (TFC) midfielder, Lee Andrew Tuck or better known as Lee Tuck, is vying to win major trophies with Pahang after signing a two-year contract with the Elephants squad, recently.

The 32-year-old Englishman revealed that he was delighted to sign up with Pahang as he regarded the club was managed by professional individuals, besides having a great fan base and a good track record in the Malaysian League (M-League) in the past.

"The environment in Pahang suits well with my wife and daughter. After speaking to Pahang manager, Datuk Mohamed Suffian Awang, he told about how the club wants to move forward, develop their team for the next couple of years which got me interested to join this club,” he told Bernama, today.

Lee Tuck who can play as attacking and central midfielder, said he was excited to help the Elephants to achieve more glory in the next two years, but believed good relationship between the players and coaching staff and the management is the key to success.

"Of course, I have a personal goal which is to win a trophy with Pahang, but I cannot say more since I have not met up with any of the Pahang players yet,” he added.

Meanwhile, Lee Tuck has expressed his desire to represent the country in the future, but believes he needs to step up his game in the M-League to have any chance of being called up into the national squad.

Lee Tuck made his debut in M-League with Negeri Sembilan in Jan 2017 before joining TFC in Nov 2017, where he helped the east coast side to emerge as the 2018 Malaysia Cup runners-up and finishing third in the Super League campaign this season.
