ERNST & YOUNG STILL PERFORMING SPECIAL INDEPENDENT REVIEW - SERBA DINAMIK
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 25 -- Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd said Ernst & Young Consulting Sdn Bhd is still in the midst of performing a special independent review on the company.
In response to the notice given by Bursa Malaysia on the findings of the special independent review pursuant to the Main Market Listing Requirements (MMLR), Serba Dinamik said today that “there were no documents or copy of any documents that fit the description of ‘Factual Findings Update’ as at Sept 30 given to independent non-executive directors” as of last Friday.
It further said that “the terms of engagement between Ernst & Young Consulting and the company dated July 2, 2021 have provided that no work products will be distributed to any parties including the regulators before and/or after the status update.”
“The terms also prohibit any quoting or references to any report, any portion, summary or abstract thereof, while any documents or report from Ernst & Young Consulting does not fall within paragraphs 9.03 and 9.35A of the MMLR,” it added.
In July, Serba Dinamik appointed Ernst & Young Consulting to undertake a special independent review of the issues raised by its former external auditor KPMG PLT on the oil and gas company.
