SHAH ALAM, Nov 9 -- Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) Selangor bureau photographer, Mohd Johari Ibrahim, has emerged as the winner of the best photography category at the appreciation ceremony for Selangor media on environment reporting.
The event, organised for the first time by the Selangor Department of Environment, in conjunction with National Environment Day 2021, was held to show appreciation to media practitioners in the state who have provided a lot of coverage on news related to the environment.
Ruwaida Md Zain from Harian Metro won the best environmental news category and Engku Shariful Azni Engku Ab Latif from Sinar Harian won the best electronic media category.
Meanwhile, Mohd Yunus Yakkub from Kosmo was named as the winner of the best print media (Malay) category; Muhammad Farid Abdul Wahab from The Star (English) and Soo Lee Xien from Sin Chew Daily (Chinese).
The prizes were presented by state Tourism, Environment, Green Technology, and Orang Asli Affairs Committee chairman Hee Loy Sian.
