KUALA TERENGGANU, Feb 10 -- Terengganu FC ll (TFC ll) are about ready with their starting line-up for the Premier League this season, which kicks off early next month.

This was revealed by assistant coach, Rosdi Talib, who said that so far he was satisfied with the commitment and performance of the players, 50 per cent of whom are new faces.

But despite the positive development, he has some concerns as to who will be the club's import players for this season.

"For the TFC ll main squad, the training sessions as well as some of the series of friendly matches we have had including with some Super League teams have put us in a good place for selection of players for the main squad.

"As for imported players, we have to wait for the decision of the Terengganu FC (TFC) head coach who will decide who will play for his (Super League) squad, and who will be sent to TFC ll," he said when met after the final of the Terengganu Menteri Besar's Cup four-cornered tournament between TFC ll and Penang FC at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium here last night.

TFC ll, who finished in third place in the Premier League last season, won the final after they were awarded a 3-0 victory by the referee following Penang FC withdrawing from continuing the match in the second half when a fight broke out at the end of the first half.

Meanwhile, state Youth, Sports and Non-Governmental Organisations Development Committee, Wan Sukairi Wan Abdullah said the state government regretted the incident happened and would leave it to the Malaysian Football League (MFL) for follow-up action.

“This incident is indeed deeply regrettable and should not have happened in the spirit of sportsmanship.

"But we (the state government) will not be discouraged and will continue to organise the Menteri Besar's Cup next year and beyond," he said.
