KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 (Bernama)-- SKS Airways is set to kick off its flights to the Tioman Island from the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang on May 1.
SKS Airways director Datuk Rohman Ahmad said the flight to Tioman Island will provide both domestic and international tourists with easy access to island hopping.
“This is in line with the current demand for domestic travel and the reopening of borders as the country moves toward the endemic phase of COVID-19,” he said in a statement today.
The airline’s 19-seater turboprop DHC6-300 Twin Otter aircraft will fly the Subang-Tioman Island route four times per week, and the flight frequency will be increased to two flights daily from July 1 until Oct 29, 2022.
SKS Airways is a commercial airline offering passenger and charter services, focusing on unserved and under-served routes, complementing existing mainline and regional carriers.
