Ablr ready to transform payment landscape in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, July 20 (Bernama) -- Ablr, a fintech company that provides buy now pay later (BNPL) services, is striving to transform the payment landscape in Malaysia with payment plans dubbed as having the greatest flexibility in the market to date.

Ablr Malaysia chief executive office Amanda Chin said to mark its debut in Malaysia, the company is offering a range of fulfilling and life-enhancing products and services to meet the fast-evolving and discerning needs of Malaysians.

“More people are exploring convenient, safe and sustainable budget-friendly payment methods and are also on the lookout for great deals.

“Now, consumers can pay with easy, fixed monthly instalments from 30 days to 60 months, depending on the payment plans on offer by our growing list of merchants,” she said after the Ablr media briefing on the company’s plans in Malaysia, here, today.

The product and services offered on the Ablr platform include key merchant categories such as home and family, healthcare and wellness, education and enrichment, and also travel and experience. 

Currently, Ablr has a network of over 30 brands in both Malaysia and Singapore cutting across 250 merchant points in both countries, including homegrown manufacturer and distributor of electrical home appliances Khind Malaysia, and health and lifestyle products company OSIM.

Chin said Ablr aims to provide more convenience for Malaysian consumers by enabling them to spend responsibly and manage finances better.

“We see millennials as the greatest users of BNPL, as they are shifting toward becoming working professionals and progressing in their careers.

“We want Ablr and the merchants to reflect that shift by adding value and provide meaningful offerings through different stages of life,” she said.

Hence, Ablr, which is a Singapore fintech company, is seeking to empower merchants to have the shared vision of a more digitised and enhanced form of payments which in turn, would elevate revenue streams and customers’ experience.
