MELAKA JKR PROJECTS NOT AFFECTED BY RISING BUILDING MATERIAL COSTS

MELAKA -- The state government has assured that no projects under the Melaka Public Works Department (JKR) have been affected so far and can be completed according to the stipulated time despite the rising cost of building materials.

State Works, Transport, Public Infrastructure and Flood Mitigation committee chairman Datuk Rahmad Mariman said JKR also took the initiative by rescheduling the prices of goods based on the new prices of goods in the market.

“If there is a delay in completing a project, it was due to other factors such as lack of workers and pandemic,” he told reporters when met here today.
