KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 19 (Bernama) -- The 62nd International Quran Recital and Memorisation Assembly (MTHQA) will be held from tonight until Oct 24 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) here.
In a statement today, the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) said 41 participants from 31 countries would be participating in MTHQA this year.
It said Malaysian families who wish to watch the competition at the venue are invited to Plenary Hall, KLCC, and seats are limited.
“Watch the live broadcast from 8.45 pm on RTM TV1 and Jakim’s official social media,” it said.
Tonight, four participants recited the Quran, namely male reciters Masoud Noori from Iran and Brahim Boughalab (Belgium), and female reciters Nuhuman Nuha (Sri Lanka) and Yuni Wulandari Hasim (Indonesia).
