KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 18 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) will provide comprehensive and interactive information to Malaysians and the global community about the 15th general election (GE15) and its developments via its channels tomorrow.
Bernama chief executive officer (CEO) Roslan Ariffin said the public can get real-time information on the election’s official and unofficial results through the news agency’s website, pru15.bernama.com.
The website also contains interactive maps, focal points, fact sheets, voter registrations, infographics, videos, photos, charts and news reports on the developments of the day.
"Bernama.com is the first website in the country that can keep Malaysians informed on current issues vital to to our country's history, such as GE15. Bernama.com now has 14 million visitors a year," he said.
In addition, Bernama TV channel, which can be accessed through Astro 502 and YouTube, will carry live coverage of the GE15 polling day through the special programme, Granstan PRU15 #TentangAnda.
The programmes are divided into three live broadcasts; the first broadcast from 9 am to 12 noon, the second broadcast from 2 pm to 4 pm and the third broadcast will start at 7 pm until the formation of a new government.
"Granstan PRU15 is produced by Bernama TV's largest ever crew with a total of 52 staff, including 24 production crew and 28 technical crew. This programme will also be broadcast live nationwide with journalists from Bernama TV, Bernama Radio and the Editor's Department.
"The programme will be hosted by 15 presenters and 22 invited guests from various backgrounds have been invited to the studio to share their comments on GE15," he said.
Roslan said the publishing side has been preparing for the past two months, especially in terms of planning and work, to ensure that all the planned programmes run smoothly tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the Bernama Radio channel will start as early as 7 am with a variety of simultaneous broadcasts on Bernama TV for an hour until 8 am in addition to the latest news reports and live coverage with Bernama journalists until 2 pm.
Interestingly, Bernama Radio will carry a GE15 Special Broadcast from 2 pm to 7 pm and will also feature three political and economic analysts who will discuss developments during GE15, including the hot seats as well as live interviews with Bernama journalists at polling locations across the country.
Bernama Radio, launched on Sept 3, 2007, is accessible through FM93.9 (Klang Valley), FM107.5 (Johor Bahru), FM100.9 (Kuching) and FM107.9 (Kota Kinabalu), in addition to social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, Spotify, Youtube and MYTV on channel 711.
