SHAH ALAM, Feb 22 (Bernama) -- Ninja Van Malaysia expects to increase its daily parcel processing capacity by up to 35 per cent or 650,000 packages via its latest automated integrated parcel processing system.
Head of sales and partnerships, Fariz Maswan said previously, the packages were processed manually, including putting the goods into sacks, scanning the QR code and coordinating the packages to be sent to the next station.
“By automating the process, our staff would only need to insert the packages into the machine where they would be carried by a conveyor belt, measured, scanned and weighed using a specialised machine and placed in designated sacks before being sent into another station.
“If previously we needed two hours to process 33,000 parcels, now we need only one hour to process the same number of parcels,” he told reporters after the launch of the 'Ninja Van Malaysia Turning 8: Celebr8ing Inno8ion' campaign today.
He said the company will not reduce the size of its workforce with the adoption of the technology, as the staff can now utilise their time to perform other important tasks such as analysing data.
Established in 2015, Ninja Van Malaysia currently has 150 hubs nationwide and 9,500 employees.
The company is also the owner of Malaysia’s biggest logistics hub, spanning 260,000 square feet, located in Shah Alam
