R2G 2023 TO BOOST INDUSTRY 4.0, DIGITALISATION ADOPTION - MTDC

GEORGE TOWN, March 15 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC) is optimistic that the MTDC Road2Growth (R2G) 2023 programme will help Malaysians reach their full potential by adopting Industry 4.0 (i4.0) solutions.

MTDC chief executive officer Mohammad Hazani Hassan said the agency has lined-up programmes where participants would benefit and receive valuable insight from the sessions, specifically in the areas of i4.0 and digitalisation.

“They will also have access to a pool of experienced speakers who can offer guidance and support as they navigate the challenges of scaling up their businesses,” he told reporters during the R2G Northern Region event at Universiti Sains Malaysia here today.

The R2G event is a platform to disseminate information and introduce services offered by MTDC, namely its funding programme, technopreneur training programmes under the Technopreneur Training Academy, the i4.0 technology solutions by MTDC centre of nine pillars (Co9P), technical and business advisory as well as the MTDC technology centres.

Mohammad Hazani said through various R2G sessions, participants will be able to listen to insights on business investment, take part in business pitching, explore i4.0 opportunities with technology solutions provided by the Co9P, a community-based centre to help nurture i4.0 innovations, and join the business networking sessions to receive direct information from MTDC ecosystem companies and partners.

He said that university graduates will have the opportunity to bolster their future by joining the career coaching session and seeking employment opportunities through graduate employability programmes and talent development.

“R2G 2023 Northern Region is also a platform to explore business opportunities through ideas exchange and networking with industry players, universities, government agencies and private companies.

“In addition, participants will also have the opportunity to learn about i4.0 technology adoption at the event which is free for all participants,” he said.

Mohammad Hazani noted that with the right support and resources, Malaysian entrepreneurs have the potential to compete on a global level and drive economic growth in the country.

MTDC is an agency under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI).
