GEORGE TOWN, March 31 (Bernama) -- The Penang International Airport's multi-storey car park has obtained the Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC) and will be operational from April 1.
In a statement here today, Penang Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman, Yeoh Soon Hin said the decision to build the multi-storey car park was to tackle the problem of insufficient parking spaces at the airport.
“According to the report of the airport management, the multi-storey car park has received the Certificate of Completion and Compliance and it will be accessible to the public starting on April 1.
“It is believed that the problem of insufficient parking spaces at the airport will be alleviated,” he said.
Yeoh said that he has always been committed to addressing the challenges of insufficient parking spaces and also recognised public feedback to connect the parking lot to the airport terminal, and has conveyed this to Penang International Airport for future infrastructure projects.
“I hope that all relevant parties will give their full support to promoting the expansion plan of Penang International Airport so that there will be no more concern over the lack of parking spaces at the airport,” he added.
