Indian Actress Nayanthara Stresses Self-love And Care In 20-year Career Journey

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30 (Bernama) -- Celebrated South Indian actress, Nayanthara, emphasises the importance of self-love and self-care in maintaining her equilibrium throughout her illustrious 20-year career. 

The actress, who recently ventured into entrepreneurship with the launch of her skincare brand, 9skin, encouraged women to prioritise self-care in their personal growth. 

In her address at the launch event on Fiday night, Nayanthara shared: "I may not be a skincare expert, but one thing I can vouch for after being an actress for 20 years is that self-love and self-care are what keep me grounded on the many roles I play.

“I am sure you play multiple roles too, and I encourage everyone to take time for self-care,” she said. 

The event, graced by Nayanthara's husband, Vignesh Shivan, an acclaimed Indian film director and MIC Deputy President Datuk Seri M. Saravanan, also saw the presence of 9skin co-founder, Daisy Morgan, along with local celebrities and social media influencers.

The 9skin brand is set to introduce five flagship products in Malaysia – Skintillete Booster Oil, Illuminate Glow Serum, Eternelle Anti-Aging Serum, Revive Glow Moisturiser and Rejuvenate Night Moisturiser. Prices for these products range from RM89 to RM179.

Meanwhile, Daisy, an entrepreneur from Singapore, known for her innovative ventures, expressed her ambition to make a mark in the skincare industry through 9skin.

Nayanthara, often hailed as the “Lady Superstar” of South Indian cinema, was the sole South Indian actress featured in Forbes India’s "Celebrity 100" list of 2018.

Recently, Nayanthara made her Hindi film debut in the action thriller, Jawan, alongside Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan.

She achieved the milestone of becoming the fastest Indian female actress to amass one million followers on Instagram within a single day, currently boasting a following of 5.8 million.

Earlier at the event, several accomplished Indian entrepreneurs were bestowed with awards in recognition of their business acumen, innovation and contributions to the Malaysian economy.
