Pas' Move To Liken Gov't's Approach To That Of A 'hypocrite' Malicious, Baseless - Amk Deputy Chief

08/12/2023 01:45 AM

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 7 (Bernama) -- PAS’ move to liken the MADANI Unity Government’s approach to that of a ‘munafiq’ (hypocrite) is malicious and baseless, says Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) deputy chief Muhammad Kamil Abdul Munim.

He said this also further justified the view that PAS was an extremist party.

"Thus calling PH (Pakatan Harapan) a hypocrite, an enemy of Islam that practises Israeli-style democracy, it justifies the view that PAS is an extremist party.

"The perfect way for PAS to influence the minds, especially of the Malay Muslim community, is to ride on and manipulate religious scriptures and doctrines according to the interests of the higher-ups in PAS," he said via X, tonight.

On Wednesday, PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang made a post on his Facebook titled ‘Minda Presiden PAS: Cara Golongan Munafik menentang Islam diikuti Israel dan PH’.

Muhammad Kamil, who is also the political secretary to the Minister of Finance, said PAS, which was also part of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition, was getting desperate as more and more opposition MPs voiced their support for the government and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

He said it was difficult for the coalition to attack the government on policy issues since the economic figures and indicators were seen to be improving and investment was increasing as confidence in the country’s administration was also strong.

On the distribution of allocations, he said the allegation against the government of imposing economic sanctions against states governed by PAS was a huge slander.

"In terms of royalties, the PAS president himself failed to resolve it in the 33 months he was in power. This is a fact that no one in PAS can deny. The state's allocation (now) has also increased compared to previous years," he said.
