‘jom Kenali Bernama’ Campaign Gives Aspirants A Feel Of Newscaster Job

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 9 (Bernama) -- The public has the opportunity to experience reading the news through the ‘Jom Kenali Bernama’ campaign at the Ministry of Communications and Digital (KKD) booth held in conjunction with the MADANI Government One Year Anniversary Programme being held at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium from Dec 8-10.

Malaysian National News Organisation (Bernama) corporate affairs chief Mariati Mohd Arif said those interested could come forward and register themselves at the Bernama exhibition booth without having to bring any resume.

“We want to give visitors the opportunity of being a newscaster, all the names and data of the candidates who come will be stored by Bernama TV for use in the future.

“We also provide various interesting activities such as interactive quizzes that allow visitors to win various interesting prizes throughout the programme,” she told Bernama.

Meanwhile, Mariati said the campaign also allowed visitors to get acquainted with the news agency as a trusted news source.

“Besides bringing Bernama closer to the community, especially the younger generation, this campaign is also an effort to highlight the Bernama brand as a reliable source of news,” she said.

Mariati said Bernama always conducted the campaign when participating in programmes organised by KKD.

The three-day MADANI Government One Year Anniversary Programme at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium began yesterday, with a focus on three components, namely the MADANI Government One Year Achievement Showcase, having service touchpoints for the rakyat, and the People’s Wellbeing Initiative.

The highlight is the closing ceremony to be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim tomorrow, which will also be attended by the government’s top leadership.
